Pawn shop find... 1945 Spree werke P38

I was looking for a Mauser rifle to put into my WW2 collection so I stopped in a local pawn shop. The only Mauser was a sporterized that could not be restored. As I was handing back the rifle I spotted a familiar shape among the cheap 9mm's. As I looked at it I saw the letters "cvq", Germanicon Army acceptance stamps and the serial number that had an "a" prefix. As I remained calm I talked them down from 500 to 450 and started the paperwork. It's all matching except for the magazine and there are no importer markings so I believe it's a WW2 bring back. What do you guys think?

Besides the mild corrosion it looks pretty good. I'm pretty sure that I got a very sweet deal on it.
