Whoever thought these clones would be very desirable decades later. Here's my No4 Mk1 Savage that was converted by a gunsmith.
Amazingly this clone shoots more accurately than any of my No5s, go figure. Perhaps it's because of the heavier barrel and receiver.

Do you know how much yours weighs?
Mine is down to 7lbs 9oz, almost 2lbs lighter then when I started.

Good question so I just weighed it, 8 lbs 6 oz with the sling and unloaded magazine.

Yep, I'm sure that's the reason. Also why it weighs more than mine.
I'd like to find a babba'ed No.4 to make into a carbine... If the price was right...
