Desperately looking for one of these but were they used on MG08s too?

wooden training MG08/15 with capture history. Definitely trg pieces as opposed to 'dummy posn' guns.

I checked the Canadian
Capture Diary, and your gun (7756) is not present in the S/N listing.
Jumps from 7753 to 7760.
I have 6047, in very rough shape, and am pondering what to do with it. Histories show that it was captured by the 7th Battalion amongst 80-100 other guns on the 2nd of September, 1918, near Villers Les Cagnicourt.
Pondering whether or not the gun should go to the perpetuating unit (BCR) or not.
