Nice to meet you too mike. I've started posting some of my newer items in their appropriate forums if you want to take a look. As far as Japanese rifles are concerned the last one I bought is my early Tokyo arsenal type 38 that was taken out of service and made into a school rifle. I found an original cleaning rod and the missing dust cover. Ironically when I looked at the dust cover the numbers matched the numbers on the bolt and was in the same overall condition of the rifle! I guess dumb luck was on my side yet again. I know it was when I found a matching magazine for my type 94 nambu and when I located my dad's helmet from Vietnam hiding in a helmet collector's collection in Virginia. Most of my other finds have been Vietnam war items belonging to my dad and other marines from the time. Once I get those together I'll post them as a whole collection in the appropriate forum as well.

Might I suggest a retro AR M16 A1 build while there are still a few parts kit still around? No VN collection would be complete without one.

Believe it or not hooked I actually have a retro AR build that my dad had made for him but he gave it to me when he got a more modern AR for his birthday. The hand guard is different (not the triangular one) but it has the look and feel of a Vietnam M16. I just need a GI sling for it (and the right hand guard) and it'll be good to go. I also have a custom retro M1A build to look like my dad's M14 he had over there as well so I have both of my dad's rifles covered.

So far I have a thread about my Japanese swords, my great uncle's German helmet, my Remington 1903, my daudeteau dovitis Mauser, and a thread regarding my Vietnam war gear collection. I believe that sums it up but I will repost some pictures on here just in case.
