    Sarco, Sterling, NJ had cases of new in the wrapper "MT" marked stocks for the re-barreled to 7.62 NATO Italianicon modified M1icon rifles. They had a wooden filler added to the front of the stock so that they would fit a standard length M1. Many were painted black to hide the seam. I used a short, as made, version to build a 7.62 NATO rifle with a 1/2" shortened barrel.
