Yes the Yugoslavs made a nice job of the refurb, although it's lost it's originality, it's still an interesting collectors item. I rather think that my K98icon has had a new barrel fitted by the Yugoslavs as part of the refurb and , perhaps, this was a common practice by them in their refurb programme of the K98. The post war history and use of the K98 rifle is a most interesting subject in it's own right.
