    LB serial listing

My one and only Long Branch is marked No 4 MK I* FTR(F) [note: no FTR date]; ser#: 42L0529 (original stamping on the wrist, later electro-penciled on barrel, and stamped below the FTR stamp); action is 1943 dated; 1943 dated barrel; not import marked; it was [poorly] sporterized at some point and was missing several small parts and its magazine; bolt is a 1st type Long Branch, stamped 63L (1944?); rear sight is a 1st type/milled Fazakerley; triggerguard is a 4th type (with attached trigger); the wood is beech or birch. Since it was FTR'd I feel that several of the smaller parts are replacements, and the action and barrel were "painted" black at the time.

    thanks!
