Here's my contribution:
1. 17L6646: 1942, No. 4 Mk1*, MkII Flip Sight, Alloy Butt Plate, Maple Stock (butt & fore end) birch(non-grooved) hand-guards, non-matching serial numbers on bolt & magazine, stamped SA with broad arrow on butt, Decommissioned as Drill Practice due to bulge in barrel 4" from muzzle, DP stampings on stock and barrel bands.
2. 71L0279: 1944, No.4 Mk1*, Sniper Configuration original to receiver (no "T" stampings) sniper serial 16536 stamped into stock behind butt ring, MkI Ladder sight, brass butt plate, walnut stock with cheek plate missing & check plate screw holes filled with brass screws. Rifle was "sporterized" -- 2" of barrel cut off. Scope missing. Being restored to original configuration.
Thank you for keeping the serial # registry.
