Does anyone know of a reference book or site which describes well the different Swiss icon

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Hi, New to posting , but pretty sure what everyone thinks are 22 trainers are really rifles that were converted to 22 caliber for small caliber 50M match shooting. do not believe I have ever seen where swiss used a 22 for training purposes, All of the rifle I have seen converted were done so by private gunsmiths using their own interpretations and designs. Then again I could be wrong and starting off on the wrong foot. if so I hope someone will set me on the right path.

army never introduced an official small-bore trainer.
