Questions on a1940 42 Oberndorf vet bringback, and value.

Bought a 1940 Mauser with a double m block code. Links I have found don't say much on the 1940's.
All matching, even the bolt, all bolt parts match.
The floor plate is the only thing that does not match.
It is a duffle cut that has not been repaired. One doesn't notice it to look at the rifle, but if the original, cleaning rod is taken out one can pull the front forward, kinda weird, but maybe I will leave it as is.
Stock on this is really nicer than I would have expected, never sanded for sure. Mirror like bore and strong rifling.
I didn't notice it was luftwaffe until I got back to Akron and oiled it, that's how tired I was when I got home, and the seller never mentioned it when I picked it up. By the time I got to Marietta it was almost 11:00 PM. I could have swore he said it had an H on it. There is what looks to be an 'h' in the sling pocket and a number, must have been what he was referring to on the phone. idk. Does anyone know what the 'd' on the barrel means?
Number is stamped right on the stock 8th pic with the double m under it. Only thing that doesn't match is the floorplate. Been looking up info on the 1940's and as usual, if I have it, info hard to find. I did find one link on here that seems to be a little outdated, maybe not, as it says gg was the last block code. Made it sound like no Luftwaffe rifles known, so still researching.
I like the earlier versions, but it seems info abounds on the latter mods, not so much the older.
This one is evidently early 1940 as it has a flat buttplate. So if earlier, how is it mm is before gg? Is it possible the 42 designation was actually started very late 1939? .........Ok guys, Jan 1st, start with the 42. So what is last known block code for 1939?
Red glue lam stock. Need to take it apart to get stamps under barrel and oil there.

Added more pics of stamps for a couple reasons, camera I used last night had no macro, these are not that great either, but shows better.
2- they are kinda crusty looking, whole stock was dry as a bone like it was stored in hot attic. Not real sure the safe way to preserve the "crusty' for lack of a better term, surface not to fall off stamps. Any ideas? thank you.
I took a magnifying glass to them, best way to see them correctly actually, as the flash makes them look strange. I could see fabric fibers where he had pulled raised small wood chips , or more likely flakes of finish out.
