These are pics of a BM59 trig assy I got from Reese last fall. I returned it because the lugs were "egged".
Check the wear marks in my pics to see if the match your part.

I dont' know if an M1 stamped guard will substitute but why fool around. If the lugs look like this they are definitely not new.
