2 Marines In Battle

2 Marines start to Shoot it out in the Marshall Islands Campaign. Look at the Gunners M1 Carbine laying next to him. I cant tell if there's something on the end of his Carbine or is it the wood ? My Vision is getting pretty Bad. I think it's time to get some Glasses.

I was going to say whatever it was, it was there for sure because it was casting a shadow.
