Jackpot!
Have been well pleased with the HXP 303 ammo I got last year from CTD but at the same time I was a little disappointed that it wasn't true Mk.7 as advertised so after much deliberation and reading of reviews I decided to gamble a little and ordered a 448rd case of the ''grade B'' 303 surplus from CTD over the weekend. Judging from the pics I wasn't expecting much but reasoned the 448 bullets alone would probably be worth the price if it turned out to be junk. Well it arrived today and I got a pleasant surprise when I opened it up. All 448 rounds are in good condition, they's a bit tarnished from age but absolutely no corrosion on a single one. The icing on the cake is they are all 1943 South African Mk.7 still in the original 32rd paper boxes.
If you plan to order any there are(or were) several options available, choose wisely because according to the reviews whats pictured is what you get, mostly.
Reviews also report very few misfires among the cordite Mk.7. I might get a bit greedy and order another case before it's all gone if this lot shoots ok.

Was going to order some a month ago to supplement the HXP from last year but they wanted to charge me $72.00 shipping for two cases!!! Just checked and for one they want $34. What do they think? my names Ben Dover.

Shipping was a bit steep but I ain't complaining. I'd about given up on finding any genuine Mk.7 ammo. Case price was $89.69 plus the $31.50 shipping for a grand total of $121.19/448 rounds. That boils down to $.27 per round if I did the math right. The HXP came to about $.45-.47 IIRC. Heck I'm not sure I could even re-load 303 for 27 cent a round anymore.

Got another case of the grade B 303 from CTD today. All 1975 dated HXP this time. Dumped out all 10 boxes looking for corroded rounds but every one was bight and clean, some boxes are nicer than the grade A stuff I got last year.

Greek ammo...should be good. They used enough of it in Cyprus for us to form an opinion on it after all...while we were there.
