Perhaps it has a partnered rifle out there; does the bracket have a serial No. as members here can possibly track what rifle it may have been fitted to.
What was the fleabay price on it as they vary from non-bracketed $1,400 - 1,800 up to $2,500 for ones with the brackets looks a pretty good pick up P.L may give advice on sticky drums and as he calls it crows on a wire.

the bracket looks like one of the numrich repro's, so no rifle number.
