Maybe my deafness is getting the better of me or the wife is right I just don't listen, going back many years ago when I was living and working in WA, I used to shop at a small supermarket at the end of the road, trawling through the freezer one day come across frozen Kangaroo meat and on the label said it wash't for human consumption, come to think of it most of the stuff in that freezer probably wasn't either but never labeled so.

Often thought when Skippy meat would be on the menu..... well it was only today getting some last bits in for a party, I went into a well known frozen food shop in the UK, looking through the freezers found some Ostrich steaks and burgers, (I,d had ostrich stake many years ago on a ship can't say I was too keen but never been a stake man) so looking further down seen the Kangaroo Burgers.... I told the wife when I got back, she said told me some time back the shop in question had started to sell them and even had Croc burgers !!!

On my world travels in the past have tried a few things (never had dog though) so thought some skippy burgers would top the menu for the BBQ.....

Just remember BD that Roo has no fat so be careful cooking them, wrapped in bacon is the way I do them

Great lean meat, the roo's are only accepted to be processed for consumption if head shot no neck or chest shots and before the greenies get onto my case the Kangaroo is not endangered on the mainland not the 2 common types anyway the red and the grey in fact down our way in one shire the grey are considered a nuisance pest and farmers can shoot'em at will. Roo tail soup is yumo my auntie cooked it as a favourite on a cold winters night when I stayed with them in Northampton and Bilbarin in W.A wheatbelt that and main geese, sheep, rabbit and jilgies from the dam with home grown vegetables it was just grand
