Enforcer Sale!! Wow!!
I didn't think these had reached this high yet, but it looks like they are climbing in price.

Good old Essex Police rifle from September 1974 making the right sort of money for a well looked after rifle, what do you expect

They really are going up in price these days, I was offered a superb example five years ago for £1,000 should have gone for it!
A friend has the Enfield trio, NoT, L42 and Enforcer, of these the L42 is the nicest to shoot in my opinion.

More than likely an extremely rare bird on the other side of the pond too. I wonder how many Enforcers went Stateside, anybody know?

It is odd, especially with all the export restrictions, probably took it in carry on luggage

I've had a half dozen through here but none in a long time. Half of them were built by Charnwood Ordnance with original parts and no scopes. I still have one early matching rifle/scope of my own. The wood has been horribly finished with polyurethane and it's going to be stripped and oiled some day when I can fit it in.

No 483 - I remember that one - I almost bought it a few years ago over here in blighty but declined (reticle was upside down and shop bloke said no,no they were ALL like that) - mentioned to another member who did buy it I think. Do recall it had numbered mag but scope wasn't serialed to rifle.

I picked up Enforcer 665 last year and it had the same terrible poly finish on the stock. So I stripped it and after four coats of 50% English Chestnut 50% Walnut minwax stain and four coats of tung oil finish, over three weeks, it looks pretty nice again.

The ENFORCER family as small as it is, is definitely worth looking after alongside the L42A1 family as they deminish in size, as their prices reach new dizzying heights in value.
My Enforcer had the chequered wood rather than planed as an option and does look really nice now in its old age, and saves the grip slipping in wet weather like this weekend grrrrrrrrrrrrr

We had a shoot at Barton Road yesterday where my L42, No4T & Enforcer all had their annual summer outing and thankfully the rain held off and the electronic scoring system held up as well.
