Is someone in the UK importing rifles direct from Imbel and then converting them?

I wonder if I can get one redirected to NZ before its butchered?

Not any more. I believe that there's only around 24 of these straight pull IMBEL FALs in the UK and a few others in .22 and .223. I understand that they came to the UK via Guy Savage (Sabre Defence) around 7-10 years ago.
Unlike the SP L1A1s which by definition are made from parts kits, these were made as straight pull from the outset with all new IMBEL parts. I've got a 7.62 standard rather than a shorty version. I'd dearly love to get hold of a .22 para version but they're rarer than a rare thing!
