The problem is that it would take more than a 'smidge' to create enough clearance for the rubber. If I moved it far enough forward for clearance, the eye relief won't be good - at least for me. The scope and mount came pre-assembled from the DCM and the eye relief seems perfect so I just left it alone. I'd like to see what it looks like with the rubber eye piece rotated to the side by I have not been able to find any examples of this in any of my books or online.

Anyone have any photos to share with your rubber eyepiece mounted with the shade to the left?
