A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... Served from 1986 to 1996. Gulf war veteran. Reconnaissance Marine0321/8652. Qualified expert with the M16A2 Service Rifle 5/5, M9 Service Pistol 2/2. Never fired the M1icon Garand till 2005. Now I compete with it on a regular basis, reload my own and have the pleasure of earning all three CMPicon pins for it. Even was 95th in the country for a while in 2008, till I got bumped. This year I will try and better that 286-4X and maintain a position in the top 100.

I'm not a Marine, but thought I'd inform you that "Clyde from heart of Texas" on the political forum is and was wounded on Iwo Jima.

I loved the M1icon and never thought I would have the opportunity to own one.
I shoot it every chance I get. My eyes are pretty bad, I can't get any rounds in the bull at 500yds. I'm reduced to eight rounds in the bull at 100 yds.
I'm also not a former Marine, however, I will die a Marine.

    LOL

An old Army saying. "Don't even leave the garbage dump unguarded when Marines are around. They don't steal because they need to-they steal because they like to!"

I worked with a couple of retired "Old Breed" Marines, both ex-china Marines and learned then never, repeat never, play cards, dice, pool or any game, including Candyland with them. The concept of fair never enters the picture. What a wonderful education they gave this poor dumb teenager.
