Thanks guys, I did change out the cocking piece and trigger guard with no effect. If it has to do with the sear, that's beyond my capability. Peters suggesting of getting a qualified smith to effect repairs is hollow in San Diego where I can find no gunsmith who will take on work of any kind. Even shipping out a firearm for work has been similarly rejected. I have resorted to doing my own dovetailing, but I'm not proud of the result.
