I imported a box full of them, (all made by Central), in the late 90's. Sold at shows throughout the Southeast USA including the big AGCA show. It might be one of those.

A couple different ones here - both I'm assuming to be of British manufacture.

I bought these a few years ago when a UK militaria seller was still selling them in their storage packaging (see label) - I think they were re-packed in the 1950s.

A nice addition to any Enfield collection... I'll have to look out for a Central marked one!

This is the one I have it has T R SMLE and on the other side W D (War dept?) and broad arrow can someone please take the time inform me if this is Aus manufacture of British post war? TIA as always.

I can't seriously imagine that this combination tool was issued to the crunchies! Can you imagine it, sat at the back of the range awaiting your range detail to turn up, doing a bit of background activity like bore/ rifle/magazine cleaning. There'd be bits of dial sight, bayonet grips and extractor springs flying everywhere. Nope, best kept in the Armourers tool boxes I suggest.

But does anyone know if they were an issue to the troops. If so, why didn't they get the same with the No4. Or had we learned our lesson by then after the Bren Combi Tool fiasco!
