I can't seriously imagine that this combination tool was issued to the crunchies! Can you imagine it, sat at the back of the range awaiting your range detail to turn up, doing a bit of background activity like bore/ rifle/magazine cleaning. There'd be bits of dial sight, bayonet grips and extractor springs flying everywhere. Nope, best kept in the Armourers tool boxes I suggest.
But does anyone know if they were an issue to the troops. If so, why didn't they get the same with the No4. Or had we learned our lesson by then after the Bren Combi Tool fiasco!Information
