Yeah, we had a pretty big discussion on the merits of shooting the Vetterli a while back after I got one and asked about it. They were used, and used more than many give them credit for and were being used as late as WWII with Italianicon native troops in Africa. I also watched a vid of a guy shooting one. It's just one of those things where they might be fine until that last shot where the receiver just stretches too far, etc. A few here shoot them but make their own loads.
