A 7.62 Lee Enfield
A bit of a strange one, for me, anyway, I expect someone will say "That's easy" but Knowledge is power, and I do not profess to be an ex spurt, so I am turning to someone who "might" have an answer.
I have just acquired a good looking 7.62. Sold to me as an "envoy type" It was a really good price, so it's not surprising I snapped it up, I am an RD so bought, as seen from the photo.
I ditched the non gunsmith mount, and found some confusing marks on the receiver and action.
No4 Mk2 UF 55 A***** so it's a 1955 Fazakerley made (probably in India) Rifle. Now the confusing part, Before that there is stamped, not etched RA/002m which I'm assuming indicates some kind of measurement when it was converted. The barrel is simply marked SPORTCO and 7.62 4T (which seems awfully low to me) anyway there are a couple of marks on the receiver any help would be much appreciated Attachment 67853

Also seen RA/019.M. Exactly the same but electro engraved the same as the Fazakerley factory engraving.

Sportco is Australian
. The 4T does not refer to TPSI but probably the barrel profile or rifling . The other photos are unclear.
