    2 tapped holes

    Hi all looking for info about 2 tapped holes in my 22 cricket 22 rifle ? I need to now the size of these 2 holes I believe they are metric size also they have Philips heads on them . I would like to change them to soc. hd. cap screws . I tried calling the com few times no answer thanks for any help you can give me Bill

    Why not just take them out and try a thread checker to see what they are?

    I did try my small std American taps did not work I do not have a metric thread checker and also the to screws do not fit any off the small nut I got so thanks so until some hardware stores open to try an see if they got a thread checker bill

    Or just screw a piece of hardwood into the holes. Tell us the diameter and tpi/pitch and someone here will be able to tell you

    Problem with gun screws is they aren't standard Bill, they're gun. They don't match hardware store stuff. Metric sometimes will fit SAE and other way round but they aren't the same.

    MMMM thanks Jim bill did call one store in my area he did say he had 6-48 like the guy e-mailed me I think I will take rifle an etc . to hardware store an see if they have something that will fit again thanks Jim
