New book on the Tank Destroyer training at Camp Hood
First a disclaimer (I wrote this book).
After obtaining the personal collection of the Camp Hood Post Commander I realized it contained a wealth of images and info. So I contacted Arcadia publishing and Voila a book was born. If one is interested in the training methods and stateside buildup of the Army at the beginning of WW2 this is a good source.
It is available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and the Arcadia site. Check it out. A lot of research and tons of pics (180) covering Camp Hood from 1942 to 1945.
