Russian Imperial Nagant Revolver

You have something truly special there. From what I understand it is very rare to find a NCO model Nagant Revolver in any condition which is SA only still.

Maybe (just a maybe) this could have been in Soviet service and captured in either the Russian Civil War by one of the non-red forces. It then could have been transferred to the Finnish. This would explain the SA only, and why the factory information was punched out. It would also explain why the rebuild only used Imperial marked parts.

I had a Finnish M28/30 built in 1932 (or 1933 can't remember at the moment) which had a 1919 Tula Receiver. The key thing to note about this was the Finns were not at war with the Soviets during this time period, so the only way for them to have acquired this particular receiver was from one of the forces that fought the Reds during the Russian Civil War (or a force they sold it to). The Finns did a fair bit of buying up former Imperial firearms from foreign nations to arm there troops. Its wouldn't be hard to believe the Finnish bought it.

Unfortunately unless there is some other specific markings (such as later arsenal marks like post 1928 Tula and Izhevsk factory markings, or SA markings) there isn't too much I can tell you.
