A couple of Cold Warriors Hungarian M52 & Czech Vz52/57

I acquired this pair recently , a Hungarianicon M52 & a Czechicon Vz52/57. The sniper is in great shape and is all matching including the scope. The Vz is a mismatched rebuild that saw little or no use since its refurbishment. Here are some pics.

Didn't they switch between 7.62x39 and a proprietary 7.62x45 round? I have a few of the 7.62x45 rounds kicking around.

In answer to your questions the Vz52 was originally chambered in 7.62x45. Later they were pressured to standardize ammo with the other Warsaw Pact members and the result was the Vz52/57 in 7.62x39.

I been collecting Czechicon Weapons since the early 90's. The one I had was chambered for the 7.62 x 45. I didn't have it a year when someone offered a Great trade for it plus it was hard to find that Round back them. I could only get them at Gun Shows mostly made by Reloaders. Now my collection has dwindled down to there early Handguns.
