Found a m1903 #1455294 at a local country auction. It appears the rifle has been sported Im guessing during the 1950's and is fairly well done. The barrel is dated 7-34 and has been reblued and modified to accept a Lyman aperature rear sight graduated to 125 and a "Dockerndorf" globe front atop the barrel band. The reblue and D/T for the Lyman is the only mod to the barreled action and I had to secure it from a gentleman who had Tasco 3x9 written all over his face. The work was to nicely done, Walnut, finely checkered heavy target stock with white fore-end and grip cap with grooved trigger that breaks ridicuoulsy light with first stage eliminated and no apparent overzealous stone or grind marks to the sear striker or trigger humps. Aftermarket steel hinged bottom metal that is Mauserish and sharp rifling with bright bore and early polished o3a3 bolt (R 42) that headspaces perfectly on Saami gauges. Dried grease and dust accumulation on working parts indicates this one has not seen the light of day for a long time. My experiance is limited to non collector o3, 03a3, m1917 and garand platforms re-fit re-barrel finish ream stock repair and trying to get it right carry and use etc. this is no Griffin Howe but nicely done slightly above average fitting/smithing. With interest I will post some pictures if anyone cares.

You can see pictures on another recent thread that was hashed out about a week ago. The rifle is a Ed Agramonte sporter from Yonkers NY. Seems to me to be a surplus profiteer from what I have learned from a little research, however it is a lovely rifle and nicely done. It was purchased in 1958 with a few brass shot shell hulls for $ 74.50, maybe some of you would know by the retail price the quality of the work involved for that era. Another poster replied that the serial number was close to some in a NM range. However, I did not share a drawing number at the time because we found numbers to be about 4 digits off, but there is no star gauge at the muzzle. I have not had a chance to target the rifle yet because of illness. Sorry to disappoint. If anyone is interested Ill photo the dwg# I'm not knowledgeable enough to know many details about dwg#s but I can tell it retains the original Barrel dated 1934 according to Vi-shooters if I discerned the information correctly. If there is interest I'll post more pictures.
