I have been shooting reformed LC Military brass in all of my type 99's and have had no problems. Yes there is just a small amount of swelling above the case head but with the military brass being thicker it really in not that noticeable. Some of my brass has already been fired six times and you cannot tell it from the once fired reloads. The accuracy is excellent. 
Got a question for Jim K. Why would you want to fire 7.7 rounds thru a 30-06rifle? Most of us reform 06 brass to 7.7 Jap because the 7.7 is expensive and hard to find.
