I saw a thing on Fox News last night about this very thing. The report said that most guns come from the Mexican Military and Police who have deserted to join the cartels by the thousands and brought their weapons with them and sales to the Mexican Cartels by overseas criminal organizations especially in Russia by way of Guatemala. At the end they said while the "Cartels get 90% of their guns from the U.S." thing is bogus the politicians and some in the press have too much invested in it to let it go. Now that's candid.

I suspect that if smuggling is blocked (yeah suuure) Chavez will be quite happy to sell them anything they want to spite the "imperialistic Yanquis"
