Do you have the M28 rifle for the bayonet?

Not yet, not actively seeking either. If one falls in my lap, I'll go for it.

The fluted scabbard alone is worth what you paid for the entire piece.

I think this is an M-27. Same bayonet?
Just in case I stumble upon one.

I believe it takes the same bayonet. Only are two basic blade bayonets, the M27-35 type and the one that looks like a bowie knife and repros are selling for $150.

I currently need only the 1887 Martini bayonet. Last few rifles I've bought with the exception of the Radom, I had the bayonet already. Technically, I guess I'm missing a Type 30 Japanese bayonet but as I have four of them, I really don't feel like spending much for a fifth.

Today's bargain not as good as the Finn bayonet but not too bad. Went to the antique shops to the east today hoping to find the elusive Martini bayonet and found a Camilus USN Mark 2 knife for $30 in the correct vinyl scabbard. Looks to be 44-45 production. Not in ideal condition but not too bad. Leather is a bit loose and the blade had been sharpened a bit more than I like but for the price, I'm not complaining.

Didn't get a super bargain this weekend but did find something unusual. A Hopkins and Allen 1889 Belgian bayonet, made in the USA. Looks to be near unissued condition but has some spotty rust. Everything else was either beat to crap or way overpriced.

I got a Martini Henry 1887 at a decent price. Still expensive but far from $199. I don't have it in hand yet, sometime next week. Yard sale and flea market bargains today amounted to a bonanza on ammo and that's about it. 2 full boxes of 6.5 Arisaka Norma, 1 full box plus 8 rounds of 6.5 Carcano Norma, 2 full mannlicher clips of five rounds each surplus Dutch Mannlicher. All for the bargain price of $40. First time in three years I've even seen Dutch Mannlicher ammo for sale.
