At the last show there was a Ton of carbine stocks. Quite a few vendors had them and one in particular had three tables stacked three feet high with them. If memory serves me they where something like $25 to $35 bucks. Beat to hell and nobody would tell me where they got them.

Looks like to me someone bought up ALL those Stocks from Old Western Scrounger just a while ago they had Hundreds of those Stocks you just described. These Stock were beat up pretty good, and they had so many you can get them for almost nothing.

Yes and a bit like the "Sniper" acronym attached to items of suspect heritage that pushes the price up 300%

I was actually looking at some of those for my own rifle a few weeks ago, they look like they were stored in a wet basement. They were cheap enough to try as a project, but some of the cracks and chunks missing at the recoil plate area were just too daunting for me to bother.

If someone was able to freshen one up you would certainly have no trouble with pulling off the battle field used look.

Just looking at the photos makes me imagine how they must smell, musty and moldy, I'd bet.

I got one a few yrs. ago that was kind of beat up. it was SHB marked for my Std. Pro. No cracks , just used, Steamed it and it made a nice stock. In my opinion it matched my 70+ yr. old carbine. These ones now that are flooding the market are what you pay for!
