And all I picked up today was a Star Model B at Oaks. Meet up with Mike too. Looks like we all had a good day.

I am very happy with this one. Took it apart and everything matches. The number on the stock had me a little concerned but I suspected that was a unit marking of some sort. Stock and handguard have matching serials along with the bands. No import mark, no rust except a tiny bit on the inside of the butt plate. Did not find a date on the stock nor a tag under the butt plate which wasn't unexpected due to being a private sale.

For whatever reason all Swiss
Infantry Rifles I have owned didn't have tags, well all their carbine have had tags.
Very nice example, personally I prefer the Gewehr 1911 a bit more than the 96/11 just because of the flat butt-plate on it, makes it a bit more enjoyable to shoot than the curved butt plate.

Nice colored stock. Well done and they shoot so very well.
MJ, don't take this personally, but that's crap.

I think most 96/11's are still a hidden bargain, congrats
