Sounds like a good price. Bought a wakizashi in military furniture for $80 at a flea market in Florida a few years back that turned out to have an 18th century blade. Wife didn't want it in the house, so it was sold. The Kanji can be read a number of ways so without knowing the possible names it is often hard to tell, so I am told by a native speaker. Met a wealthy old fellow who had a large sword collection in Japan
. The "negativity" coming off some of his blades made him construct a separate building for them some distance from his house, at least that was how he described it. Too much of this leaves something behind perhaps.
