Wow! It kind of leaves one speechless in awe. I suppose it would be really handy if you were being chased down by a pack of Tyrannosaurs one day. I can see it being incredibly fun to shoot a few rounds through too. Maybe one day I will get a chance to have a go at it too.

    And some options:

    *Special Order Item*
Rifles are made to order. 2 month delivery on average. 35% deposit required.
Unfortunately due to the value of this item, payment has to be made through means other than credit card. Credit card orders will be reversed.

    Payment/layaway plan available.

    Options:
    -735mm or 910mm barrel length
    -Custom/alternate finish ~ $500
    -Spare Magazine ~$375
    -Spare/Replacement Barrel ~$1650

It is far too rich for my blood, but some folks may have have this as a higher priority.

On a similar note, at a local gunshop a few years ago, I watch a young fellow load his new pride and joy, a Steyr HS50 with optics and all the extras, into a clapped out rustbucket of a Dodge Neon. I thought to myself, that guy's rifle is worth 5 times what he is loading it into for transport.

Strange priorities if you ask me.

Now if we place a Hendsolt on it like the demo we have a $22,000 rig for an extra 10K more you could have the tracker rifle I like the one with the semi auto that keeps track of the target allowing you to shoot from the vehicle on the move getting first round hits, so now we do not even have to worry about firing the weapon its all automated. Gads the day of the rifle man is nearly over and the day of the Terminator may not be that far off scary stuff.

    Hi Muffett....

This is what everyone else is seeing and you should also see, if you have your Windows XP and FireFox browser, Java and Flash add-ons installed, setup and turned ON correctly.

My son and I have given serious thought to buying one. We actually said we would stop buying other firearms and save for one but then I found a nice No4 for him and a AIA No4 for me so that saving bit went out the window. Who knows maybe we will as they are a pretty sweet firearm.
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

I think they are a really interesting firearm, but running a .50cal is a commitment for sure, I think a semi-auto would eat my range budgeting very rapidly. A quick check is about $5.20/round plus tax/shipping, so $30 a magazine, in a semi-auto a fellow might get a little enthusiastic from time to time.

I know reloading is an option but the set up might be a little bit to recoup before long.

During my time in the army I had the opportunity to fire the McMillian TAC-50 both suppressed and un-suppressed, it was a fun experience, recoil was similar to a 12 ga shotgun with a 3" Magnum Slug, not really unpleasant but still stout. I think everyone should try it (Shooting a .50 BMG rifle) at least once.

I have a photo of the rifle around somewhere in my files, if I find it I may post it up for reference.

If I had a wide open backyard and the room to really stretch my shooting distances out, I would probably be interested in getting some sort of .50 rifle, but lacking my own spaces it is hard to find a range to even test the smaller long range guns, like the 7.62 NATO and .338 LM to their capabilities.
