    Bren mkIII butt stock unit marking

    Received my newest Bren gun, an Enfield marked mkIII. Any ideas what unit marked the stock "KN 8/1" in white paint. Enfield made Bren made in 1948.
    Couldn't figure out how to upload my picture yet.
