M1903 rebuild
Hi guys,
I have a M1903 Mark I dated 1920. I got it about 10 years ago for staining my drivers ed teachers deck. The rifle was sporterized - receiver was drilled for a scope, sights removed and a different stock added. Thankfully they didn't cut the barrel.
So.......now that I'm laid off and bored I'd like to put it somewhat back to stock. Will probably put a period correct scope on it to hide the holes in the receiver, and a stock, stock. My question is where can I get all the steel needed for the stock? bands etc. Numrich's looks like they have quite a bit, and some pecking on ebay found some but is there a one place stop that would have everything I need?
Thanks much
Travis

You could start with pics here and a WTB and see what these folks can come up with. Just have them PM you...

Ill get some pics of it tomorrow. But I will say it needs everything besides a receiver, trigger and barrel.

Like I suggest, put up some pics and a WTB and give it a bit. These guys have lots hidden away and you may be able to get everything right here. Only thing I have is a 1903/A3 front sight...(wrong)...

I hope you have lots of money. A good correct stock, 300 and up. Trigger parts,150 or more. Is the bolt correct? The finish will never be right. If it was me I would just keep it like it is and put a good scope on her and use it for what ever.

Trigger is all there. Not looking to build a collector's gun...just something that's close to original as I can get for my own enjoyment. I already have a correct A3.

For a Mark I, no. I don't need that either. I'm just looking for parts...not looking to build a 100% correct Mark I rifle. The holes drilled in the receiver pretty much ruin any value it could have.
