far right Lewis m/g, BAR M1918A2, TSMG M1928A1 with 50 rd drum, Reising sub machine gun (he should have dumped the Reising right there in the water) and M1903 with bayonet

That is an interesting question, look at the rest of his gear too, he seems to be lacking ammunition belts, and just has a satchel. I wonder if he is even armed, or may be carrying some piece of support equipment?

I bet that heat from that Flamethrower just toppled the Scale or even if there was one to measure it.

Reising M55 SMG I think is a perfect fit for what we are seeing.
Forgive the crude photo chop, I do not currently have access to my "tools".

I can't take all the credit here, I browsed for other discussions on the photograph and some sharp eyed person speculated it was an M50. I grabbed a stock photo of one from wikipedia, and it seems to fit the visual footprint. I would be maybe 90% sure.
Perhaps he is an officer, lightly loaded, a personal defense gun with only a few spare magazines, possibly in the side bag or a not visible to the camera?
