Who's got better AFV than me?
What did that heap of scrap start out as, the road wheels look German
, but I am not recognizing the hull shape.
Is it 35% of a German Half-track?

That looks a bit better. That's what I was thinking at first. What's left of it.

Is it just a freakish line up of something on the AFV with the muzzle of the GI's rifle but is that an Energa grenade on the end of that Garand
(Was the Garand used for them or just the A3's-4 bolt rifles)

It looks like an M22 smoke grenade to me.
The Energa was first produced in the 1950's

It does not look like an M9A1 anti tank grenade.
Also, if it was a M9 you would question the wisdom of strolling the battle field with an armed M9 one stumble and it could be all over.
But G.I.'s do dumb things from time to time
