BEAUTIFUL scenery picture 3............
It looks like a Mk2 telescope with a red W on the side. This configuration was usually reserved for Mk2/1's that were modified with the desiccation facility.

"After-Market" range pattern?
Not "fat" enough or correctly profiled at the muzzle for the L-42 series.
Looks a bit beefy to be from the ill-fated L-8 series as well.
Lithgow
made a "similar", parkerized, 7.62 NATO No4 barrel for the range boys in the early to mid 1960s: Front sight-base lugs but no bayonet lugs.
