    Thanks Jim, so would you think these bases were probably added once the pistol was returned to Canadaicon in the '70's?

    I think the whole mag is a commercial, that is to say, not a JI mag so they'd all be right from the factory the same as the civvie mags...but they're just as serviceable as the JI mags. Are the followers black plastic? Thing is, those mags could have been matched and numbered anytime. Since it's here, the mags could have come out of our system or...? I saw quantities of those mags in my last unit, and a mixed drawer of refurb parts as well.
