NO SCAR BIPOD for No1 MkIII* Need Suggestions for temporary mounting
I'm looking for ideas to mount a bipod on my No1 MkIII*that will not involve ANY permanent modification. I have one of the Harris types @ 14.95 that I found on the auction sight that is linked to our search function> OK thanks much!

You could get a stud machined that replaces the forestock inner band screw.

Here is a thought. If you can find a cut up 1907 bayonet and fasten a Versapod type stud to the front.

There was a fellow doing 3-D printed bayonet adapters I will try and find the info and post it here.

Very "rock and roll"!
Whatever did we do before Velcro, Zip-ties and "Gaffer" (100 mph) tape?
I carry a kit with ALL three of those "life-savers", and a bunch of other adhesives, sealants, wire, rope, etc., in my car, along with the more usual first-aid kit and fire extinguisher.
That aside, neat solution; only possible downside is that excessive tightness in the ties may leave compression marks in the top handguard. Maybe you could wrap a wide strip of old inner-tube rubber around the entire mounting area on the fore-end and handguard before zipping up the ties.
