I've been looking to purchase a No4 Mk1 T since posting the thread about my dad's reunion with one. I thought I might have found one a while back, but the knowledge of the guys on the forum showed it was not an original. It was a Savage in the 17C series. I have now briefly seen a Savage in the 0C series, 0C46xx, but don't want to ask the owner for photos, unless there's a strong possibility it's original. I know I will be asked to post photos at some stage, but if the response is, there were no T's in this number range, there's not much point in taking it further. Thanks in anticipation.
There are also known Savage snipers in the 0Cx (0C1 is a famous example) thru 0Cxxx, 4Cxxxx, 7Cxxxx, 13Cxxxx, 14Cxxxx, 15Cxxxx so I don't think 17C would be improbable.
