1919RIA NM/Service Rifle
I have a very nice RIA, SN 386,356. Barrel is SA 9-31. Any chance it is a NM? Or more simply a Service Rifle. Thanks.

Unless you find documentation showing otherwise, your rifle is not likely a 1919 NM rifle.

Am I mistaken, or were there only 200 RIA 1919 NM rifles ever made?
I read somewhere that the 1921 USMC match team traveled with 200 match rifles. Wouldn't that make the 1919 RIA match rifle quite rare?

The exact quantity made is not known. One document states that 2,000 rifles were placed on order. Another document suggests that the actual quantity produced was 2,251.
Take your pick.

I have a 376K receiver I built up into a service rifle with an RI 2-19 barrel I found on another rifle, and a Mark 1 stock.
I wonder if it could be upgraded/restored into something like a NM? It shoots real well. Probably leave well-enough alone.
PD

Then again, no gun parts money now

Bad looking cat. Nice group. Were you using the battle sights?

Your rifle could be restored into a 1919 NM rifle. The main thing you'd need is one of those crooked-handle bolts.
That's a nice-looking brick outhouse you're building! Most folks just dig a hole and set a shack on top of it.
Thanks for the pictures!
I'm always look forward to seeing your latest stonework.
