Rather nicer than most I've seen.
Thanks for the heads up.
But I think I've had my 7mm Mauser find of the year already!

Very nice.
I need one of these to go with my 1893.

The 7.62mm version is to be avoided. They loaded up a special light round for the rifle and it runs well with that load. Standard 7.62mm ammo will slowly stretch the receiver.

I don't know if I got extremely lucky or what but I ordered a Spanish sling from Sarco and I got an unissued one. Buckle is tarnished heavily and leather is a little dry but it's probably a brand new 60 year old sling.

I was just looking at those. How long are they?

I already have it on the rifle so measurement isn't exact but I'd say it is 46" from center of buckle to end of leather. Mounted you will lose 2" for the upper attachment and 2" for the buckle end so 42" net. I always tighten them as snug as they will go so they aren't flapping all around. I also got one of the Rhodesian rifle bags on a whim. Kind of neat, not sure they are original but they aren't expensive either. Soft padding on inside but won't take a lot of abuse. Fairly light construction.
