Steyr M95 long rifle
Found this one last month...a Steyr M95 long rifle. Converted to 8x56r, apparently in 1936, as 36 is stamped over 17. Barrel, receiver, stock match. Bolt is not numbered. Not a Bulgarian rifle. And we have the original M95 sling! This rifle is in excellent condition, and I'm really glad I found it. Wanted to share it with you guys.

Yes, definitely an Austrian Republic Conversion (HV Heeres Verwaltung), of 1936.
And since the Bolt is not EP'd, probably never went to Bulgaria, but remained in Austria
/Ostmark during the war, or Probably travelled with Luftwaffe AA units ( common rifle in these units); and the original M95 pattern sling is a plus ( at least, pre-WW II pattern).
Nice find.

Very nice, definitely underappreciated rifles (which just means more for us those of us that do appreciate them to collect!).
