Spanish m1916 7mm vs .308 conversion
I've noticed some samco lot of rifles up for sale lately and thinking of snatching one up. Both are under 200, which would be better to get?
I'm assuming the 7mm would hold more value being unaltered in the years to come, plus I've read the .308 ones are too high pressure round for the action.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

If it was me I would get the 7mm one. Much less common, much neater caliber, and as you mentioned .308 is questionable at least in any sort of quantity in the M93 based action.

If you reload the 7.62mm works. It will have a decent barrel and be in good shape. BUT, you must reload the round. It shots a light bullet at M1 Carbine velocity.

7mm because it is original and appropriate for the action. 308 is taking a chance.

I'd stick with the original caliber...
