1903 National Match?

Hello,

I recently acquired a Springfield 1903 with all the National Match features:

Star- gauged barrel, dated 12-36
Polished bolt with engraved serial number
Polished receiver race
C stock with matching serial number and D-1836 part number
Checkered butt plate

Serial number is 1496423, matching on receiver, bolt and stock.

Can anyone tell me if the s/n has any "hits" on the Springfield Research Service list?

It is SRS listed, with a sales date of 20th May 1937, as a A1NM rifle.

To get a sales letter you first have to be a subscriber to the U. S. Martial Arms Collector magazine. This costs $35 per year (4 issues). Then you have to ask for the letter showing the date of sale, and to whom and the city of residence of the person who bought the gun through the DCM. This costs $65.00. As a collector I consider the value of the sales letter worth what it costs. I have sales letters for all the rifles that I own that are on the SRS list.
