Who made this sight?
I was going through some Ranger spares to zero my rifle and found these front sights. 15 in the pack and brand new. I don't recognize the maker's mark on it.
Any thoughts?

I think that's the Valcartier marks used by Dominion Arsenals in the 50's.

What I do know that CF has an active contract to manufacture new parts as required. I would not be suprised if this was indeed made by Diemaco for the lee Enfield Rifle
.
Yes Colt Canada
now owns Diemaco. I assume the contract will be honoured.

Actually, I didn't know that was a Diemaco mark. Learn something new every day.
I can't see the "D". It looks more like a "V" than anything else.
Maybe they can make me a rear sight that isn't a POS too. The three rifles we had out on Saturday all had defective CMkIII rear sights. On two, the battle sight didn't line up left/right with the peep, and on the third the battle sight hit 18" higher than the 300yd peep. No, they were not damaged in any way. I've had a request for spares in for quite some time.

The maufactures code (NSCM) along with the date of manufacture, should be on the label of the box, and if it's from the last 4 years, it will have a bar code as well. Can you list whats on the label?

Wow... Diemaco huh? I should have known
I had seen it on Enfield parts before and had thought Valcartier for some reason...???

The sights we have are repacked from the original packaging so I can't say what's on the label.
Some of the spare sights were in unopened plastic foil pouches, 5(?) to a pack. I don't remember what was on them and they're back in Patrol stores now.
On the upside, I did manage to get a Mk1 rear sight to replace my CMk3. The battle and peep sight point the same direction on this one.
