F-10, my sentiments re your in thread 110 but I suspect that the photographer and onlookers had/were having exactly the same lusting and bawdy thoughts that the devout, teetotal and celibate forumers are having today. And long may it reign!
I seem to recall from my memory banks that she came from Swindon and her birth name was Diana(?) Fluck. Not the kindest name to go to a local school with.............

I have a number of sterling smgs registered in Canada
. They came ex UK
stock from a UK dealer in the 70s.
They are all in great condition. Sterling sold me the spares and told me how to crinkle paint some of them.
I was amazed how it turned out. Looked the same as factory when I was done.
We can't shoot them anymore, government doesn't issue carry permit anymore. But, they are up there with
the uzi, tsmg as a fun gun.

Can14, Does this mean you are not able to use them on an approved range at all?....

or........... what about using them on your own range if you had, say, a 25 yard range attached to your house?
Your comments about Sterling assisting you with advice and some spares is indicative of their after sales and advice policy. A letter would ALWAYS elicit a swift reply from them. Mr Howroyd told me that a reply to a letter could/would inevitably end in a sale of something - even if it was some spares or just a new handbook!

You can't shoot them at all. There's no loopholes attached. If you live out on a prairie farm of some huge dimensions you might be able to get away with it, but if someone reports automatic fire from your AO, then Johnie Donkeywalloper may still visit.

The last dealing I had with Sterling was to buy all of their not 7.62x51 magazines. Anyone know who has sterling
ejector for them. Had 300 magazines at one time. All are in Canada
somewhere.
Government doesn't want gun fire, have some Browning 50's, they make noise. So no fa permits to transport

The Sterling 762x51 magazines didn't have ejectors on them. I think that they had another ejection system because........ anyway......... It was the 1965 (cancelled order) Enfield 7.62mm mags that had the ejector welded to the left side.
Suggest you buy a big farm out in the sticks. Then you can fire them!

Enfield magazines had the ejector on magazine. I have those. Sterling made one that used the original 303 ejector
screw hole that a 308 ejector screwed to. I have 10 DCRA no4s in 308 and 2 303 tgt. I was wondering if anyone had these. We have filed the 303 bolt
extractor so that it holds 308 tight and ejects them .......sometimes!

What makes the correct 7.62mm extractors eject too is the DEPTH of the actual claw part. It is this deep claw that engages the cannelure of the extracted case and then, due to the smaller base rim diameter, can push the spent case further to the left to friction against the ever shallowing bodyside and then eject fully. In truth, even on the No4, the actual ejector screw is just a last resort. If you haven't got the longer/deeper ejector claw type true 7.62mm extractor, you'll never get reliable ejection. I know some of the true experts will argue otherwise but that's what the Enfield design reports of 1965 say....... and so do I!
